Explore Ballistic Panels for Enhanced Security Solutions from Avient at GSX 2024
Avient Corporation, a premier provider of specialized and sustainable materials solutions and services, will showcase its Thermov Ballistic and Glas Armor ballistic and blast-resistant composite panels at the Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2024 show September 23–25. These panels offer ballistic protection for applications such as modular military structures, government buildings, schools, critical assets such as electrical substations, and any location requiring lightweight, modular protection.
Thermo Ballistic thermoplastic panels are thermally formed with e-glass and thermoplastic resin systems, offering a cost-competitive alternative to ballistic-resistant materials made with other fibers or thermoset resins. These panels provide structural bullet-resistant reinforcement to meet UL 752 Level 3 ballistic rating for interior architectural surfaces and components at a lighter weight than traditional panel materials.
Avient is committed to helping customers meet sustainability goals in various ways through its composites portfolio. Composites are inherently lightweight alternatives to metal and other traditional materials, enabling sustainability initiatives such as material reduction and fuel economy improvements in many end products. Thermoplastic recycled-content composites can further support a circular economy and help customers lessen their environmental impact. For example, incorporating post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin into composite materials such as unidirectional tape can help reduce the carbon footprint of those composites.
Avient is exhibiting at GSX 2024 September 23-25, in the First Timer Pavilion, Booth 2387, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
