Change In The Management Of Brückner Maschinenbau
Michael Baumeister, Managing Director responsible for technology at Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH in Siegsdorf since 2006, retired at the end of 2023. On January 1, 2024, Nicolas Beyl succeeded him as Managing Director/CTO of Brückner Maschinenbau. Nicolas Beyl brings a broad range of experience from technical and commercial management roles to this key position, including more than ten years of management responsibility as Managing Director in globally active mechanical engineering companies.
From 2012 to 2020, as Managing Director of KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH, he headed the Reaction Process Machinery segment with over 500 employees, eight international production sites and various global sales locations. Most recently, Nicolas Beyl was the sole Managing Director of Single Group GmbH, an international manufacturer of temperature control units and systems.
“I am looking forward to an excellently positioned company and to my new role. The markets in which we operate, both in the packaging sector and in technical applications, are exciting and hold great potential. I will play my part in ensuring that Brückner Maschinenbau continues to expand its market leadership with the most innovative solutions,” says Nicolas Beyl.
In his 17 years as Managing Director, Michael Baumeister has made a significant contribution to the growth of Brückner Maschinenbau – the global market leader for film stretching lines – and to securing its global technology and market leadership. Since he joined the company in 2006, Brückner Maschinenbau’s turnover has quadrupled to more than EUR 800 million and the number of employees in his area of responsibility has increased from around 210 to 550 today.
The Brückner Group is a family-owned, medium-sized group of companies with a total of 2,900 employees at 18 locations worldwide. Group members are Brückner Maschinenbau, world market leader in production lines for orientated films, Brückner Servtec, service provider for film stretching technology, Kiefel, a leading manufacturer of machines for natural fiber and plastics processing, and the Swiss company PackSys Global, a world-renowned manufacturer of state-of-the-art packaging machines. The companies in the Brückner Group are increasingly aligning their strategy, products, processes and locations with the principles of sustainability. To this end, an explicit sustainability management system has been set up in all group companies over the past two years.
