“Innovation, Design and Sustainability as Global Differentials of the Brazilian Plastic Processing Industry” is Theme in the II World Plastic Connection Summit
The most important international event for business and renewal of knowledge on the Brazilian processed plastic industry for export to occur in hybrid format, November 7 – 10
Think Plastic Brazil (Portfolio of solutions to support the plastic processed products sector in the internationalization for target markets), created by INP (National Plastic Institute) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), promotes the II World Plastic Connection Summit, the most important international event of the Brazilian plastic processing industry for business and knowledge renewal. In hybrid format (in-person and online), the Summit will be held at Blue Tree Premium Alphaville, in November 7 to 10, with simultaneous transmission in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

The World Plastic Connection Summit 2022 will comprise:
International Seminar: international technical seminar to disseminate relevant information for decision making both by target markets and the potential of the Brazilian processes plastic sector, with participation of renowned professionals from Brazil and abroad.
Some highlights are: Finnish journalist and design expert Susanna Björklund, who will lecture on sustainability, empathy and design; Beta-i Brasil CEO Renata Ramalhosa, who will talk about Research and Development in national companies; Technion University (Israel Institute of Technology) Professor Charles Eliezer Diesendruck, who will show how mechanochemistry can collaborate to the improvement of plastic materials; Lincoln Seragini and Luís Arevalo, who will discuss innovation in the global market of packaging, among others.
The Seminar will be held on November 7 and 8 and will also include the launching of the International Color Trend Guide (Color Trend 2023); and the International Yearbook 2022 with international sectorial data and information on the 130 companies associated to Think Plastic Brazil (Yearbook 2022).
International Award: Award intended to value companies that are investing in the Internationalization Process, paying homage to the relevant actions of companies associated to the Program.
In this edition, the award brings a new category (World Plastic Global Design Award) created to award companies that invest in actions and projects turned to sustainable design.
Color Trend – International Color Trend 2023: Deep global study of color trends in the processed plastic market, introducing the Brazilian culture and presenting the possibilities of production and development to national companies. The color research was coordinated by Alexandre Herchcovitch, one of the most important designers in the Brazilian fashion.
International yearbook: Yearbook in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish), presenting international sectorial information of 2022 and full information on Brazilian companies participating in the portfolio. The novelty is that the International Yearbook 2022 will be online, streamlining the update of sectorial and companies’ information in real time.
Buyers and Press project International Show: on November 9 and 10, at Blue Tree Premium Alphaville Hotel, companies associated to the Think Plastic Brazil Program receive buyers and journalists, international guests.
The World Plastic Connection Summit is one of the main actions of the sectorial project for the segments supported by Think Plastic Brazil program: Agribusiness, Toys and Childcare, Civil Construction, Packaging, Inputs (among them Masterbatch, material responsible for the coloring of processed plastic products), and Houseware.

In the 2021 edition, the event recorded over 13 thousand accesses from 54 countries, with 130 Brazilian companies and renowned lecturers like Alexandre Herchcovitch, Paulo de Mattos Coelho (Braskem), Karim Rashid, Sally Dominguez, Rosana Orlandi – Guiltless Plastic, Peter Gianetti – IHA, and Priya Nagrale – Market Study Research.
