Brazilian Companies in the Packaging Sector Double Deals During Pack Expo International, in Chicago

The 21 Brazilian companies that attended Pack Expo International, held in Chicago, United States, on October 23-26, reported $1.8 million in direct sales at the event, with an expectation of achieving another $21.57 million for the next 12 months. The value obtained at the fair was almost double that of the last in-person edition of the event (2018), when the project’s companies reported $960,000 in sales, with an expectation of $7.5 for the subsequent 12 months.

The companies participated in the event with the support of Think Plastic Brazil, a portfolio of solutions that support the converted plastic products sector in the process of internationalization to target markets, created by the INP (Brazilian Plastics Institute) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

“Pack Expo crowned the series of good results achieved by Brazilian companies at the 2022 fairs, highlighting Think Plastic Brazil’s effectiveness in supporting the internationalization of the converted plastics industries. Over 44,000 visitors were present at the fair – a record for the event – and the entire audience was impacted by the excellent work carried out by the portfolio, particularly with information about our International Color Trend, a color trend guide that will be renewed on November 7-10 during the 2nd World Plastic Connection Summit, to be held in São Paulo, signed by Alexandre Herchcovitch,” said Carlos Moreira, Strategy and Project Planning Manager at Think Plastic Brazil.

“Pack Expo International is one of the main moments for doing business in the packaging sector worldwide, and the results of Brazilian companies prove their global importance in the segment,” stressed Cristina Sacramento, the portfolio’s Market Development Specialist for Agribusiness and Packaging. “In addition to all the deals achieved, it was also possible for entrepreneurs from 7 industries to visit the ApexBrasil office in Miami, getting a closer view of the benefits offered by the Agency to the various Brazilian sectors,” she added.

The companies present at the event were Ecoboxes; Embaquim; FFS Films; GDM Plásticos; Globoplast; Impacta; Inplasul; Packaging Plaszom; Packing Group; Parnaplast; Polo Films; Rafitec Propex; Sommaplast; Splack; Terphane; Valgroup (que participou com duas empresas do grupo); Videplast; Vitopel and Wyda.
